Spring Weather!

Well, the flowers are out and I hoping I will have time soon to go out and take some photos of it all! I can’t hardly get over the splendor of it… God’s creation is truly breath taking! I am inspired and excited to work on new projects now that collage classes are done. I have two murals set up for this summer and i’m trying a new technique: Airbrushing!!  I am very excited to get started… 

VanSingel Art Show

Jennifer Vanderploeg will have her art hanging at the VanSingel Fine Art Gallery at Byron High School from March 18 – April 27. Come to the reception April 11, 2pm – 3:30pm to meet the artist and snack on refreshments as you enjoy the art and photography!

Beautiful January!

Hello everyone! Well, it’s typical Michigan weather… it looks beautifully sunny  from the inside but it’s cold and windy when you get out there!

Now that i’ve finished painting my room a lovely Nantucket Grey, I am happy to be painting with pastels again! I have two more pieces in progress of horses that i’ve had on my mind lately. A Friesian stallion and a buckskin QH we used to own. Stay tuned!!

So, juggling classes, work and art has been interesting but now i’ve had the guts to include guitar lessons again! I’m glad to do it though, as playing music seems to get me in the mood to paint. Again thank you for visiting my site and keep an eye out for new stuff!!

Merry Christmas!

Well, winter is most definitely here. We got dumped on with lake affect snow here in Michigan and the flurries just keep coming! This post is to wish you all who visit my site a very warm and wonderful Christmas! May you find peace within your home and joy with your families this season. I know I will be looking forward to Christmas break from school and getting some catch up done with my half finished projects that lay around the house.
